Supporting Our Students
Personalized Support | Learning Strategies | Career Counselling
The mission of student services at Rundle Studio is to provide academic guidance and social-emotional counselling. This mission aligns with the goal of Rundle to help students discover their potential and prepare them for an ever-changing world.
Within the student services department at Rundle Studio, a school counsellor is available to virtually meet with students weekly or as required by request from the student or parents. Our counsellors assist with:
- social and emotional counselling
- academic support
- peer counselling
- parent consultation
- connections to external resources
Student services also works closely with faculty and administration on school-related matters such as tracking student progress, monitoring academic and personal development, and crisis intervention. Students and parents can access the school nurse and counsellor by email, phone, or book a time through their teacher.
Academic Support
Rundle Studio learning strategists support students who require additional support with remediation, strategy development, or explicit accommodation training. Requests for this support are initiated by the teacher and the student services team determines the length of support and availability based on the student’s need.
Technology Support
Rundle Studio student services is available anytime during the school day to help support students who are having any sort of technology based problem. Rundle Studio teachers and IT staff will support students through any tech-related issues to ensure that everyday learning runs smooth and effective.
Student-Led Leadership
Student leadership opportunities through Student Services include the following: Peer Support, PASS (People About Standing Up for Social Change, and the HEART Committee.
Counsellors are actively involved in supporting student leadership groups within the school whereby students take on initiatives in the areas of wellness, diversity and inclusion, bullying prevention, and academic support.
The school nurse facilitates a health-related student leadership club called, HEART Committee, at the Academy and College senior high. This club is ideal for students looking to pursue a career in health care or public health. The students can work through the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation stages of meaningful community health promotion initiatives.
Post-Secondary Support:
In addition, the department provides comprehensive career and post-secondary support for students from junior high through high school.

At Rundle, we strive to continue student support past their graduation. With the Traverse program, Rundle provides graduates transitioning to post-secondary education with personalized coaching to meet their academic, personal, and wellness goals. In the Traverse, each student is assigned a dedicated coach who provides weekly tailored guidance to ensure success in their new academic environment.
